1) ISRO ने GSAT 31 को फ्रेंच गयाना से लॉन्च किया

भारत का 40 वां संचार उपग्रह GSAT-31 फ्रेंच गुयाना से सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया गया है। एरियन -5 रॉकेट को कौरू लॉन्च बेस से हटा दिया गया और 42 मिनट में इसे इच्छित जियोसिंक्रोनस ट्रांसफर ऑर्बिट में रखा गया।

इसे भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन इसरो के वैज्ञानिकों ने कर्नाटक में अपनी हसन सुविधा से तुरंत नियंत्रण में ले लिया। जीसैट -31 डीटीएच टेलीविजन के लिए ट्रांसपोंडर क्षमता और एटीएम, स्टॉक-एक्सचेंज, डिजिटल सैटेलाइट न्यूज गैदरिंग डीएसएनजी और ई-गवर्नेंस एप्लिकेशन जैसी सेवाओं के लिए कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करेगा।

GSAT-31 के बारे में संक्षेप में:
उपग्रह जीसैट -31 में मुख्य भूमि भारत और उसके द्वीप क्षेत्रों दोनों पर पदचिह्न हैं।
उम्र बढ़ने के साथ INSAT-4CR उपग्रह को बदलकर निर्बाध सेवाओं की पेशकश करते हुए, पंद्रह वर्षों से इसका परिचालन जीवन है।
जीसैट -31 भारत का 40 वां संचार उपग्रह है।

ISRO Launches GSAT 31 From French Guiana

India’s 40th communication satellite GSAT-31 has been launched successfully from French Guiana. The Ariane-5 rocket lifted off with it from Kourou Launch Base, and in 42-minutes, placed it in the intended Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit.


It was immediately taken control by Indian Space Research Organization ISRO scientists from its Hassan facility in Karnataka. GSAT-31 will provide transponder capacity for DTH television and connectivity to services like VSATs for ATMs, stock-exchanges, Digital Satellite News Gathering DSNG, and e-governance applications.

About GSAT-31 in Brief:
The satellite GSAT-31 has the footprint over both mainland India and her island territories.
It has an operational life of over fifteen years, offering seamless services by replacing the aging INSAT-4CR satellite.
GSAT-31 is India’s 40th communication satellite.

GSAT-31 had a lift-off mass of 2536 kg.

2) पंजाब सरकार ने डेयरी फार्मिंग को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 5 सदस्य समिति का गठन किया

पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने परिणामोन्मुखी तरीके से किसानों की आय को पूरक बनाने के उद्देश्य से डेयरी क्षेत्र को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एक व्यापक कार्य योजना तैयार करने के लिए एक उच्चाधिकार प्राप्त 5 सदस्यीय समिति की घोषणा की।


इस समिति में अध्यक्ष राज्य किसान आयोग, निदेशक पशुपालन, डेयरी विकास निदेशक, गुरु अंगद देव पशु चिकित्सा और पशु विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय (GADVASU) के प्रतिनिधि शामिल होंगे।

Punjab Government Constitutes 5 Member Committee To Promote Dairy Farming

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh announced a high-powered 5-member committee to prepare a comprehensive action plan to boost the dairy sector with the aim of supplementing the income of farmers in a result-oriented manner.


The committee would consist of Chairman State Farmers Commission, Director Animal Husbandry, Director of Dairy Development, a representative of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU).

5) प्रधानमंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना (PM-JAY) ऐप लॉन्च

प्रधान मंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना (PM-JAY) ऐप को Google play store पर लॉन्च किया गया है। आयुष्मान भारत योजना या प्रधान मंत्री जन आरोग्य योजना (PM-JAY) एक केन्द्र प्रायोजित योजना है; जिसे वर्ष 2018 में देश में MoHFW के आयुष्मान भारत मिशन के तहत लॉन्च किया गया था।

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) App Launched

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) App has been launched on Google play store. Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a centrally sponsored scheme; which was launched in the year 2018, under the Ayushman Bharat Mission of MoHFW in the country.

This scheme aims at making interventions in primary, secondary and tertiary care systems, covering both preventive and promotive health, to address healthcare holistically. Moving ahead to digitalization this app is now available on Google Play store.

6) दिनेश भाटिया को अर्जेंटीना गणराज्य में भारत के राजदूत के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया

सरकार ने टोरंटो में भारत के वर्तमान महावाणिज्य दूतावास में दिनेश भाटिया को नियुक्त किया है जो अर्जेंटीना में भारत के अगले राजदूत हैं। MEA ने कहा कि वर्तमान में अर्जेंटीना के लिए भारत के दूत संजीव रंजन को कोलंबिया गणराज्य में भारत के अगले राजदूत के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।

Dinesh Bhatia Appointed As The Ambassador of India To The Republic Of Argentina

The government has appointed Dinesh Bhatia, the present Consul General, Consulate General of India at Toronto as the next Ambassador of India to Argentina. The MEA stated that present India's envoy to Argentina Sanjiv Ranjan has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Colombia.

7) परिवहन मंत्री ने ओडिशा में राजमार्ग परियोजनाओं का शुभारंभ किया

केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने ओडिशा में 2,345 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश के साथ तीन प्रमुख राजमार्ग परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखी। परियोजनाएं राज्य में तेजी से विकास सुनिश्चित करने के उद्देश्य से हैं।

तीन राजमार्ग परियोजनाओं से ओडिशा के बाकी हिस्सों के साथ खनिज से समृद्ध अंगुल और ढेंकनाल जिलों की कनेक्टिविटी में काफी सुधार होने की उम्मीद है। तीन राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग परियोजनाओं की कुल लंबाई 132 किलोमीटर होगी। य़े हैं-

761.11 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से एनएच 200 (नया एनएच 53) का 51.1 किलोमीटर का कामाख्यायनगर-दुबुरी खंड का फोर-लेनिंग।

795.18 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से एनएच 200/23 (नया एनएच 53) के 41.7 किलोमीटर के तालचेर-कामाखनगर खंड का फोर-लेनिंग।

789.22 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से NH 200 (नया NH 53) के 39.4 किलोमीटर लंबे डबरी-चंदिखोल खंड की चार लेनिंग।

Transport Minister Launches Highway Projects In Odisha

The Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of three major highway projects with an investment worth Rs 2,345 crores in Odisha. The projects are aimed at ensuring speedy development in the state.

The three highway projects are expected to considerably improve connectivity of mineral-rich Angul and Dhenkanal districts with the rest of Odisha. The three national highway projects will have a total length of 132 km. These are-

Four-Laning of 51.1-km Kamakhyanagar-Duburi section of NH 200 (new NH 53) at a cost of Rs 761.11 crore.

Four-Laning of 41.7-km Talcher-Kamakhyanagar section of NH 200/23 (new NH 53) at a cost of Rs 795.18 crore.

Four Laning of 39.4-km Duburi-Chandikhole section of NH 200 (new NH 53) at a cost of Rs 789.23 crore.

8) RBI ने सिंडिकेट बैंक और एक्सिस बैंक पर पेनल्टी लगाई

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक ने मानदंडों का उल्लंघन करने के लिए सिंडिकेट बैंक पर 1 करोड़ रुपये और एक्सिस बैंक पर 20 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। सिंडिकेट बैंक पर जुर्माना धोखाधड़ी और जोखिम प्रबंधन प्रणालियों के बारे में निर्देशों का पालन न करने के कारण है। जाली नोटों का पता लगाने और उन्हें ठीक करने और नोट छँटने वाली मशीनों की स्थापना पर निर्देशों के उल्लंघन के लिए एक्सिस बैंक पर जुर्माना लगाया गया था।

RBI Slaps Penalty on Syndicate Bank and Axis Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has slapped an Rs1-crore penalty on Syndicate Bank and Rs20 lakh on Axis Bank for violating norms. The penalty on Syndicate Bank is due to non-compliance with the directions regarding frauds and risk management systems. Axis Bank was fined for contravention of the directions on detection and impounding of counterfeit notes and installation of note sorting machines.

Lalith J Rao (Hindustani vocal), Umakant and Ramakant Gundecha (Hindustani vocal), Yogesh Samsi (tabla), Rajendra Prasanna (shehnai/flute), MS Sheela (Carnatic vocal), Suma Sudhindra (veena), Tiruvarur Vaidyanathan (mridangam), Shashank Subramanyam (flute), Madhurani and Haimanti Sukla (Sugam Sangeet) and Gurnam Singh (Gurbani).

The US-China trade war could benefit Europe, Mexico, and Japan

Companies in Europe, Mexico, Japan, and Canada could add tens of billions of dollars in export orders if the conflict drags on, according to a study released this week by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

The study warned that the tariffs "do little to help domestic firms" in the United States and China. And even if they end up benefiting exporters in other countries, they also risk setting off a damaging sequence of negative effects around the world.

Wall Street braces for its first profit decline in three years

Stocks are booming because investors care a lot more about corporate profits on Wall Street than any drama in Washington. But company earnings could soon take a turn for the worse.

Profits for S&P 500 companies are expected to decline nearly 1% during the first quarter compared to the same time period last year, according to estimates from FactSet Research. If that happens, it would be the first overall drop in earnings since the second quarter of 2016.

This Valentine’s Day, money, not love is in the air

Shoring up personal finances tops the list of New Year resolutions for roughly one-third of Americans, according to a new report from MassMutual. A poll of 1,000 Americans found that when it comes to resolutions for this year, finances overshadow other resolutions like romance and career.

Health tops all resolutions, with 31% of all respondents making it their top priority, with finances coming in at a close second at 28%. Only 9% of those surveyed pointed to romance as their main focus in 2019, and a mere 6% say their career comes first.

Europe shuns Iranian oil despite US sanctions waivers

Despite being granted exemptions from US sanctions against Iran to enable them to buy Tehran’s oil, some European countries fully cut off crude imports from the Islamic Republic, according to Iran’s oil minister.

Washington agreed to give temporary waivers to several Iranian oil buyers when it imposed an embargo on oil shipments from the country in November after it pulled out from the landmark nuclear agreement. Those granted waivers included China, India, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Greece, and Turkey, allowing them to continue purchases without penalties.
